ClassDiaspora is an online platform connecting Nigerian teachers with parents, especially those abroad that are looking for culturally relevant lessons and tutoring for their children. Teachers can create profiles, build curriculums, and offer their services online.

Register for a teacher account and complete your profile. All new users receive 5 free tokens upon sign up.

Note: To unlock unlimited conversations and earn the verified badge, you must complete the identity verification process. Verification costs ₦5,000 for 3 months, ₦10,000 for 6 months, or ₦20,000 for 1 year.

Tokens are digital credits used within ClassDiaspora. Each token currently has a value of ₦1,000 when purchased through the platform. Parents use tokens to unlock certain features and pay for tutoring engagements.

A Base Session is a secure introductory video call requested by a parent to interview a teacher before committing to full tutoring. It costs a flat fee of ₦5,000 (paid via Paystack). The session is hosted and moderated by the ClassDiaspora support team to ensure safety and quality.

Parents use the "Engage" feature to hire teachers for tutoring services, paying with Tokens. These Tokens are held securely in Escrow while the tutoring takes place. Once the service is completed, an Admin marks the engagement as complete, and the teacher receives their earnings.

Approvals act as social proof on our platform, similar to "Likes". Tutors can share their profiles to gather Approvals, which are prominently displayed to help build trust and credibility with potential parents.

Creating an account on ClassDiaspora is completely free. New users receive 5 free tokens upon registration. Certain features such as teacher verification, Base Sessions, and tutoring engagements may require payment.

Verified teachers have completed identity verification and additional profile checks by the ClassDiaspora team. Verification helps parents identify trusted educators on the platform and unlocks additional platform features.

Most verification requests are reviewed within 24 to 72 hours, although additional information may occasionally be required.

Teachers receive payment after an engagement has been completed and confirmed on the platform. Additional payout and withdrawal policies may apply and will be communicated within your dashboard.

Refund eligibility depends on the service purchased and the circumstances of the engagement. Please contact our support team if you need assistance with a refund request or dispute.

Yes. You may delete your account from your dashboard or request permanent account deletion by contacting our support team at [email protected].

Yes. ClassDiaspora is fully accessible from modern mobile phones, tablets, and desktop browsers without requiring any app installation.
